Presentation:
In the rainshadow of the mountain, the
terrain here is drier and the forest more open than at Park Headquarters,
which is at the same elevation.
A dirt road leads two kilometers from
the Mae Cham road to the park ranger station. (This road is slick when
wet).
There are two falls in this location,
Huai Sai Luang near the main parking lot, and Mae Pan, at
the end of the main trail. An unmarked trail leads several kilometers along
two streams.
Because this area receives few visitors,
it is a good place for birdwatching.
Camping is allowed in this area,
and there are bathrooms available, but there is no restaurant or
any other kind of services available.
